- Marie-Louise Arlt is an assistant professor at the University of Bayreuth and the Bavarian Center for Battery Technology (BayBatt). Her research focuses on new technologies in the energy and mobility sectors and how to leverage economic tools and institutions to enable their optimal integration and deployment to mitigate climate change. She works at the interface of economics, information systems, and engineering.
- Previously, Marie-Louise Arlt was a Junior Research Group Leader at the ifo Institute in Munich and a Postdoctoral fellow at the Chair for Comparative Economics at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions programme). She graduated from Freiburg University in October 2020 and, during her PhD studies, has worked at and with Stanford University, SLAC, and Lawrence Berkeley Lab. She has visited ETH Zurich in spring 2022.

- Nusrath Jahan Turin is a doctoral researcher at the University of Bayreuth, where she investigates the economic determinants and policy frameworks influencing technology adoption in electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and advanced battery systems.
- Over the past one and a half years, she worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Szeged, Hungary, contributing to multidisciplinary research on EU energy policy, the European battery industry, and unconventional monetary policies. She holds a master’s degree in International Economics and Business from the University of Szeged, for which she authored a thesis on the application of the Taylor rule to policy impacts on economic stability.
- Previously, Turin served as a Lecturer in International Business at United International University, Bangladesh, and completed her MBA and BBA in International Business at the University of Dhaka.
- Nusrath Jahan Turin is a doctoral researcher at the University of Bayreuth, where she investigates the economic determinants and policy frameworks influencing technology adoption in electric vehicles, charging infrastructure, and advanced battery systems.

- Nele Maas has been working as a senior research consultant in the field of flexibility and market design at FfE in Berlin since January 2024. Prior to that, she worked for 3 years at a consulting firm in public policy. She thus has extensive experience in advising ministries, the European Commission and grid operators. In the context of research and consulting projects, she deals with fundamental questions of electricity market design, regulation and integration of flexible loads and storage systems. The main focus of her activities is the development of policy instruments, the analysis of economic and regulatory issues and the techno-economic evaluation of individual technologies.
- She completed her master's degree in industrial engineering with a focus on energy and resource management at the Technical University of Berlin. Previously, she completed her bachelor's degree in industrial engineering with a focus on environment and sustainability at the Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin and the Berlin School of Economics and Law.
